KEBERSIHAN GIGI SEBELUM DAN SESUDAH DIBERIKAN PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN PADA ANAK USIA SEKOLAH

Abstraksi

Dental hygiene problems in Indonesia is a problem that is often found in school-age children. In line with the behavior of brushing teeth properly and care by medical personnel is low. This study is aimed to know in depth about the knowledge and behavior of dental hygiene before and after health education using snakes and ladders media. This research method uses descriptive case studies with three research subjects of school-age children at MI Al Khoirot Malang. The instruments used interview sheets, observation sheets, and snakes and ladder education media. The data were analyzed qualitatively and presented in a textual form. The results showed that the knowledge and behavior of children after playing sessions of snakes and ladders health education media was increased. School-age children's knowledge and behavior of dental hygiene shows an improvement after health education using snakes and ladders education media. Therefore, it is important using snakes and ladders as a media of health education for school-age children.
