Abstraksi
The SC action, namely by breaking the tissue with an incision to remove the baby, will leave acute pain receptors in the incision wound and the pain will increase when the anesthetic wears off. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Guided Imagery Combination and the Benson Relaxation Technique on Pain Levels in Postoperative SC Patients. The research design used a quasy experimental design with group control in two groups (two group pretest and posttest design). The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling with a sample of 32 people divided into 2 groups. Determination of respondents according to the inclusion criteria, namely respondents after sectio caesarea surgery for 5-6 hours with mild and moderate pain scales. The independent variable is guided imagery and benson relaxation technique and the dependent variable is pain level. The data analysis test used univariate analysis to determine the characteristics of the respondents and bivariate analysis used the Wilcoxon and Mann Withney tests to determine the differences between the 2 groups. Wilcoxon test before and after treatment in the treatment group is 0.000. The Wilcoxon test before and after treatment in the control group was 0.000. The Mann Withney test of pain scale after treatment in the treatment group and control group is 0.000, meaning that there is an effect of guided imagery and benson relaxation techniques on the pain level of post SC patients. This is because both of them use positive thoughts and words that can divert pain and this non-pharmacological pain management technique can be applied to reduce pain in post SC patients.
